Therapist. Educator. Author. Speaker.
I provide individual psychotherapy and coaching to those struggling with mental health concerns related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationships. Much of my work involves joining Black women in their healing journey, helping them understand and reduce the impact of chronic stress. Additionally, as a former professor, I regularly provide mental health trainings and speaking engagements at conferences, events, and corporations. I'm the author of two books: Understanding and Reducing Chronic Stress: Practical Strategies to Understand and Reduce Chronic Stress (available now!) and You Deserve to Know: Words of Encouragement from a Clinical Psychologist (Fall/Winter 2024 release).
Dr. Alana provides individual therapy and stress management coaching to a diverse range of clients. While her work is deeply rooted in supporting Black women, she welcomes and works with adults of all racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
